Zenoss Enterprise Enters into NIAP Evaluation for Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) Cert

Zenoss Inc., provider of the next generation alternative to legacy enterprise IT operations management solutions, today announced that Zenoss Enterprise has entered into the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) evaluation for Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) certification. Common Criteria is an internationally recognized standard that provides a broad range of evaluation criteria for commercial and nationally sensitive government-use IT security products. Zenoss Enterprise enables organizations to seamlessly manage physical and virtual environments with unprecedented power, agility and value. Leveraging a commercial open source model, the solution provides enterprises the ability to break free of legacy complex and fragmented solutions offered by “the Big 4” at a fraction of their cost. Built as a singular, model-based product, Zenoss Enterprise contains rich functionality for both network and server monitoring including native VMware monitoring across the full virtualization infrastructure lifecycle.

To be considered “in evaluation,” products must currently be undergoing evaluation in the United States with a NIAP-approved Common Criteria Testing Laboratory (CCTL). Zenoss is working with CygnaCom Solutions, Inc. to conduct evaluation and testing. Upon successful completion, Zenoss Enterprise will meet the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security at Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2). DoD and Intelligence Community consumers may be able to purchase this product according to NSTISSP #11 and DoD 8500 acquisition policies.
